Remember I said in the previous post, I will blog about making wrapped loops?
Today, I am going to do that.
Have a bead, and a headpin. Make sure you have the round nose pliers straight nose pliers and wire cutters.
So let us start.
Put your bead on the headpin.
Hold the headpin with your round nose players just on top of the bead.
Now we bend the headpin on top of the round nose player.
You may need to mark the place on the pliers if you are making same size loops for the project in hand, like necklace or earring.
See where the pliers in step 3? It is important to have it there.
Now bend the headpin almost ninety degrees upwards.
Change the position of the pliers again.Place the pliers on the beded part of the headpin. Now we make a loop by bringing thetop part of the headpin more down. Look the picture below
See, there is bit of space on top of the bead? There we are going to wrap the headpin.
See where the pliers are now? We are ready to make loop now.
See the headpin is bend outward, bring it inwards and wrap around the stem above the bead.
Make it wrap two times. If neeeded use your straight nose pliers to pull the pin tight so the wraps are very close to the stem. Excess wire from the headpin? Don’t worry. We can use our cutting pliers to snip the excess. Make sure you cut it very close to the stem so nothing will poking when the jewelry is complete.
Now we made a wrapped loop. What are you going to do with this bead?
Is the behind scenes of a jewelry making interesting?
