Hope, you enjoed the last week’s blog interview. This week we will know about a crafter from Montreal, Quebec.StudioMilika has wonderful handmade jewelry. There are many adorable jewelry pieces to choose. I like this clever idea.
Let us know Céline, the person behind StudioMilika.
What is the story behind yourshop? Or tell us why you started the shop on Etsy?
I had been doing craft shows for a while and I wanted to start selling online. My sister introduced me to Etsy a while back (she loves to buy handmade!), so I decided to experience it as a seller. I’m amazed of all the wonderful artists I see on Etsy everyday and I’m grateful for new friends I make online .
. Tell us about your crafts. Who taught you? Who is the strong force behind your crafting life?
As long as I can remember, I’ve been crafting one way or another. I started making jewelry because I wanted to have long necklaces that would fit me (I’m 6’ tall). For this reason, my necklaces can be adjusted on request I’ve been using many different materials to create my jewelry, so this led me to learn very different techniques. I love to experiment!
Tell us about you and your life other than crafting.
I live with my wonderful boyfriend and dogs + cat we got from the SPCA (pet shelter in Canada). I live in Quebec, Canada and I speak French and English. My parents are European, so I traveled quite a lot throughout the years. I even lived in France when I was younger!
Where can we find you other than Etsy?
Social media is new to me! But if you want to be informed on specials or new items I add to my shop, you can follow me here :

How you market your shop and products?
My online shop just opened 3 months ago, so I’m still learning everyday on how to market online (any tip is welcome)
I use the above mentioned social medias I also make treasuries for others on Etsy and they reciprocate. I still sell at craft shows, so I’m happy to have an online shop to send them to now if they want to buy from me later on!
What else you like to let us know about you and your shop
Along the years, I’ve experienced painting, ceramics, enamel, felting, beading and polymer clay. Somehow all these techniques/medium have been percolating in my mind and you can now see new additions in my Etsy shop, like these cute hand shaped ornaments : www.etsy.com/listing/113937896/set-of-3-hedgehogs-hand-shaped-christmas
What is your future plans regarding your shop?( You can add any new lines you are thinking about or the new shop you wanted to open…)
I will continue to offer beautiful beaded jewelry, but you will see more and more polymer pieces/mixed media pieces as time goes by.
