It all started because I needed to by student tickets for my daughter. But on n the way to the tickets, you have to pass through the magazine isle …
I saw one, The Interweave Crochet magazine, which had such great projects! Since I was early, I decided to browse through and saw the projects. I know, I wasn’t supposed to get another crochet magazine … what can I say? I’m a crochet-holic!

I really loved the motif stripes on the Cleopatra dress, but I’m not planning to crochet a dress anytime soon, so it was just eye candy (delicious). But I did want to try those motif stripes.
It’s just a square, done in two colors. After a bit of planning, I blocked it to a diamond shape. It took me a couple tries, but I got it done.
With few beads, headpins and a split ring, I added a tassel to it. When that was done, it looked like a pendant, so I decided to go the whole way and make it a necklace. Here it is!

HI.. nice to know that we share the enjoyment of coffee and crocheting as well.
You really are very good and creative as well ^-^. I tend to crochet either things that are very practical ( I am working on making “magic pot holders right now) as well as Victorian style doilies…something about them is like creating art with thread

I used to crochet. It was something I really enjoyed. This is a really cute idea. It may just inspire me to pick it up again. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.

Lovely! I wish I knew how to crochet; I just learned to knit a little over a year ago. Interweave magazines are wonderfully inspiring. I’m addicted to “Knit Scene” and also make more things for my daughter than for me
Are you on ravelry? if so, a link to your ravelry page or group would be a nice addition to the blog.

I signed up Ravelry long time back. Now, I can’t even remember the Id and password. Maybe I should try to be in Ravelry again.
