I know, you may be thinking, why on earth Bindu Blogs is reviewving Pledge furniture polish!!!

Now, let me tell you, without a bit of Pledge, my living room is going to be very dusty looking. I used to have the Lemon aerosol version.

I like the lemony smell fills the room after dusting.

I use it to spray on a paper tower or soft cloth and wipe down all the counter tops in the kitchen and bathroom. Also, all of my wooden furniture. It leaves the scent and the shine.

It is safe on the marble counter tops and the mirrors on the bathroom. Easier to use than the glass cleaner. But, I don’t want to use it on the glass ceramic stove top though. I am scared of what will happen, like any toxic chemicals when I use the stove after that…

Recently i bought the Pledge Furniture spra Extra Moisturizing spray. That has a different colored can

.

It does have the smell of lemon. I spray a bit on the paper towel, not directly on the surface. I just think that, spraying directly will finish up the product fast. May be next time, I should try a spray bottle.

There is a very green and very cost effective way to substitute Pledge though.

That is to add half a cup of olive oil and the juice of one lime mixed with a cup of water in a spray bottle. But, I am lazy. Also, the oil will be on the counter top. Then I have to have another cleaner for the mirrors.

Right now, this is working for me. I can finish up my daily cleaning in less than 15 minute. Also, I came to know that Pledge can be used to shine the motorcycle, from the web.

So, I am going to try pledge on the steel  faucets as well as to shine my handbag.
